Rick’s story.

With over 35 years of experience in the bicycle industry, 4WheelBikeShop proudly serves families, individuals, clubs, professional cyclists and novices alike—anyone in need of reliable bicycle repair service. Owner Rick’s passion for cycling was first ignited in 1980 just after graduating high school. With some cash in his pocket from the recent sale of his 1968 Datsun pickup, Rick entered his local bicycle shop in Missoula, Montana and spent the entire day picking out his first bicycle and accessories. The experience made a lasting impression on him and he rode and rode, exploring all types of terrain, including mountain biking. While in California attending college, Rick took a job at a bicycle shop and started racing. Over the years, he placed in California state championships and earned a bronze medal in the National Championships, as well as two silver medals in the 2011 National Masters Track Nationals.

In 1987, Rick and his wife moved to Connecticut where he joined the sales team at Cannondale Bicycles before transferring to the company’s R&D department as a technician. Just prior to starting 4WheelBikeShop, Rick ran Cycle Fitness for 23 years, a business he recalls as pure joy, doing what he loves—selling and servicing bicycles. Today, he is thrilled to be a leader in the new and innovative mobile bike service space. He welcomes new opportunities to get fellow cyclists on the road again!
